The historical meaning of “Glean” means to “gather (leftover grain or other produce) after a market. Our Gleaning Program helps our good friends at the Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services Food Pantry. GFCFS picks up food products that vendors may end up discarding at the end of each market day.

In addition, customers have the opportunity to purchase products for the GFCFS’s Food Pantry for donation to needy families. If customers have other items that they would like to contribute to the GFCFS’s Food Pantry, click on this link and view a list of needed items. We collect these items weekly at the RVAg info booth at both markets.
